Qibla Compass ("the app") is designed with your privacy as a priority. This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is used.
Qibla Compass does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. The app does not have a backend server, does not require account creation or sign-in, and does not use analytics or advertising services.
The app requests access to your device's location ("While Using the App") solely to calculate the direction (bearing) from your current position to the Kaaba in Mecca, and to display this on the map. This calculation happens entirely on your device. Your location is never transmitted off your device, stored persistently, or shared with any third party.
The app uses your device's built-in compass (magnetometer) to determine your current heading, purely to display the live compass overlay. This data is processed on-device only and is not stored or transmitted.
The app allows you to choose between Apple Maps and Google Maps as a background map. When Google Maps is selected, map tile requests are handled directly by Google's Maps SDK in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Qibla Compass itself does not collect or receive any data from these map providers beyond what is necessary to render the map.
Qibla Compass does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13, as the app does not collect personal information from any user.
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
